Ingredients:
1 C mashed bananas (3 med or 2 large)
1/4 C plain greek yogurt (or any plain yogurt or sour cream)
1/2 C packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 C flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
5 Tbsp butter, cold
1 C walnuts (optional)
3 Tbsp milk - to top before baking
Maple Glaze:
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1/3 C maple syrup
1 C powdered sugar
1/4 tsp maple extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 deg. Line baking sheet with silicone baking mat or parchment paper
Mix wet ingredients, set aside
Mix dry ingredients and cut in butter. Add in wet ingredients. Dough will be sticky and a little wet
Drop scones with ice cream scoop at least 3 inches apart on cooking sheet. Brush with milk and top with sprinkle of sugar
Bake 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through
