Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

2C whole milk

1/2 C vegetable oil

1/2 C sugar

2 1/4 tsp yeast

4 1/2 C flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt



Filling: Maple Topping: Caramel Topping:

3 Tbsp butter, melted 1 bag powdered sugar 2 C brown sugar

3/4 C butter, melted 2 tsp maple flavoring 2 C vanilla ice cream

2/3 C sugar 1/2 C milk

3 Tbsp cinnamon 1/4 C melted butter

1/4 C brewed coffee

1/8 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Mix milk, vegetable oil, and sugar in small sauce pan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, and mixture reaches 95-100 deg

  2. Remove from heat and sprinkle yeast over the mixture. Let sit for 5-10 minutes to activate yeast

  3. Add dry ingredients to wet and knead for 4-6 minutes

  4. Cover bowl and refrigerate overnight

  5. The following day, roll out into a rectangle. Cover with filling, roll, and cut into 1" pieces

  6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  7. Over medium heat, warm brown sugar and ice cream

  8. Pour equally into 3-8"x8" pans

  9. Place rolls over the top of the caramel

  10. Let rolls rise for 30 minutes or until pressed with light pressure and it does not immediately recoil

  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes until browned on top


Makes approx 24 rolls
