Homemade Flat Bread

Ingredients:

2 C bread flour

1 C flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 Tbsp dry milk

1 Tbsp sugar

2 tsp yeast

1 1/2 C warm water


Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients into large bowl or stand up mixer and mix to incorporate

  2. Knead for 5 minutes

  3. Let rise/rest for 10-30 minutes (I usually do 10 minutes)

  4. Divide into 8 portions, roll out each piece flat (I do one at a time, while one is cooking I roll out the next)

  5. Using a pan on stovetop on medium heat, place rolled out dough and allow to cook until it puffs up (resist flattening it) and brown spots develop on pan side. Flip and repeat on other side

  6. Butter immediately after removing from stovetop and place on a plate, covered with a towel or tin foil. Retaining heat and steam will increase your moisture of your bread
