Olive Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

1 loaf french bread, cut in half length wise

1/2 C butter, room temperature

1/2 C mayonnaise

2-3 C mixtture of swiss and cheddar jack cheeses (or Monterey jack)

1 C green olives, chopped

1 C black olives, chopped

1 Tbsp chives


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg

  2. Combine butter, mayonnaise, and cheese. Add olives and chives and mix thoroughly

  3. Spread onto french bread slices and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and browning

  4. Mixture can also be refrigerated for up to 2 days. Also great served as a dip with crackers or beer bread
