3/4 C flour
1/4 C cornstarch
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
1 C cold water (may not end up using all)
Panko bread crumbs

Mix flour, cornstarch, cayenne, salt and pepper
Slowly mix in water until a pancake batter consistency or a thick ranch dressing consistency
Dip onion ring in batter, then toss in bread crumps
Fry until golden
