Ingredients:
1 1/4 C warm water (think bathwater temperature)
1 1/2 tsp yeast
2 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp melted butter
3 C bread flour
1 3/4 tsp kosher salt
For brushing:
3 Tbsp melted butter
1+ tsp garlic salt
1+ tsp italian seasonings
Directions:
Add water, yeast, and sugar into bowl. Let sit for 5 min until foamy and yeast is activated
Mix in dry ingredients. Knead for 5-7 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, covered with plastic wrap to rise for 1 hour
Divide dough into 12 portions
Roll each piece into a 7 inch long log. Place logs onto non-stick baking mat or parchment lined baking sheets. Let rise until doubled in size, approx 30-60 minutes
Preheat oven to 400 deg
Brush dough with egg wash and bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown
Meanwhile, combine butter, garlic salt, and other seasonings in a small bowl
Remove breadsticks from oven and immediately brush with butter mixture
