Butter Swim Biscuits

We love these for a breakfast sandwich or under our Billy Biscuits recipe!

Ingredients:

1 stick butter

2 1/2 C flour

2 C buttermilk (2 Tbsp vinegar + enough milk to make 2 C)

4 tsp baking powder

4 tsp sugar

2 tsp salt


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 deg

  2. Melt butter in 9x9 baking dish

  3. Meanwhile, combine dry ingredients in medium bowl. Add buttermilk and mix until moist dough forms

  4. Place dough right on top of melted butter. Use a spatula to spread it evenly across the pan until it touches the sides

  5. Cut unbaked dough into 9 squares. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top
