Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

1 C butter at room temperature

1/2 C sugar

1 C packed brown sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 1/4 C flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 C semisweet or milk chocolate chips


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg

  2. Whisk together dry ingredients in a small bowl

  3. In bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment, cream butter and both sugars. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy

  4. Reduce speed to low, add vanilla and eggs. Beat until well mixed

  5. Add flour mixture, mix until just combined

  6. Fold in chocolate chips

  7. Drop heaping Tbsp sized balls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets

  8. Bake until golden around the edges but soft in the center, 8-10 minutes

Yield: 24 cookies
