Apples: Remove bruises, stems, and quarter

Grapes: Remove from stems


Directions:

  1. Fill 12 Q pot 3/4 with fruit

  2. Cover with water and ensure fruit is covered by 2-3" of water

  3. Cook down for 20-40 minutes until the fruit is soft

  4. Mash with a potato masher, then run through a food mill

  5. Filter through a jelly strainer or cheese cloth

  6. Pour back into a clean pot and bring heat back up to medium-high. Add sugar to taste (typically a 1:6 ratio of sugar to juice (C) )

  7. Stir until all sugar has dissolved and your juice is sweetened to your liking

  8. Pour into cleaned and sterilized canning jars with about 1/2 - 1/4 inch headspace

  9. Clean rims and place canning lids on top and tighten fingertip tight

  10. Water bath 10 minutes
