We make this every year around St. Patrick's Day. That also seems to be the time we are making homemade maple syrup. It is always a cozy stew to come into after being out in the cold all afternoon. We half this recipe because it makes a LOT.

Ingredients:
5 lbs venison stew meat, cubed
4 large onions, diced
1 1/2 Tbsp pepper
1/4 C salt
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp paprika
3 C potatoes, diced
3 C celery, diced
3 C carrots, diced
1 head of cabbage, chopped
1 green pepper, diced
1, 16oz can peas
1, 16oz can corn
1, 16oz can green beans
2, 28oz cans tomatoes
Directions:
Brown meat cubes. Place in large kettle with onion and seasonings. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and then simmer for 5 hours
Add potatoes, celery, carrots, cabbage, and green pepper. Simmer for 1 hour
Add vegetables and simmer for an additional 30 minutes
